The University of Ottawa will be hosting the 2024 Gender Summit with the theme: Uniting the Values of Scientific Excellence and Social Progress in Science Knowledge, Practice, and Communication.

The Gender Summit was created in 2011 as a platform to create dialogue with scientists, educators, gender scholars and policy makers to identify and correct gaps and biases in science practice and knowledge arising from weak or faulty methodological assumptions that ignore or minimize the influence of biological (sex) and or social (gender) diversities on the quality of research and innovation outcomes.

The expected output will be a new Roadmap for Action 2.0, which will replace the  Roadmap for Action for North America agreed on by the participants of the  3rd Gender Summit, which was hosted in 2013.
