Advancing the Health of Women Through Science
In 2020, ORWH commemorated 30 years of supporting women's health research within and beyond the NIH scientific community. This milestone anniversary year included many engaging activities highlighting the progress made in women's health research, understanding the possible influences of sex and gender on health and disease, and supporting the advancement of women in biomedical careers.

ORWH 30th Anniversary Virtual Meetings
The anniversary year culminated with the ORWH 30th Anniversary Virtual Meeting Series: Advancing the Health of Women Through Science. This series comprised three virtual meetings to celebrate 30 years of women's health research and sex and gender studies within and beyond the NIH scientific community.

ORWH 30th Anniversary Quarterly Issues
ORWH developed a quarterly publication series that provided information on the office's history and work in advancing its mission areas. The issues highlight women in science careers, sex as a biological variable (SABV), and the inclusion of women in clinical studies.
ORWH 30th Anniversary Media Resources
ORWH developed a 12-part Director's Message series, 30th anniversary video, and 30th anniversary presentation to further frame its work in supporting research on the health of women, promoting the importance of considering sex and gender in health and disease in biomedical studies, and supporting the advancement of women in biomedical careers. The presentation also contains information about women’s health research advances across NIH.
