Associate Director for Research on Women’s Health and Director of the ORWH at NIH, Janine A. Clayton, M.D., FARVO, will be speaking at the Society for Women’s Health Research’s (SWHR) “Women’s Unique Health Needs and the Sustainable Development Goals,” which is a series of sessions during the Science Summit at the United Nations General Assembly. The sessions will take place both in person in New York City and virtually on September 24, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. EDT.  

The SWHR event will include panels and keynotes where health care industry experts will discuss key developments and opportunities to advance women’s health care and research. These sessions will tackle issues such as female underrepresentation in clinical studies; the role of women in health care decision-making; and barriers to accessing care and improving health outcomes for women worldwide. Dr. Clayton, among other prominent speakers, will identify opportunities for domestic and global collaborations and inform the development of a women’s health research agenda in the Outcomes Report to the United Nations.
