ORWH’s new quarterly lecture series, titled “Diverse Voices: Intersectionality and the Health of Women,” will amplify research that incorporates an intersectional framework and addresses the breadth of topics relevant to the health of women. The first lecture, titled “Cancer in Women,” will feature presentations from Kemi Doll, M.D., M.S.C.R., and Katie O’Brien, Ph.D. Dr. Doll will present on the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute’s (PCORI) SISTER Study of evidence-based peer support interventions for Black women with endometrial cancer. Dr. O’Brien will present on diversity-focused recruitment efforts in the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences’ (NIEHS) Sister Study—a cohort of over 50,000 women who have a sister with a breast cancer diagnosis.

The event will be held on January 27, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. EST. Registration is required. Click here for more information and a link to the registration page.
