Despite the availability of screenings that reduce cancer risks, these services are not equally utilized across all populations. In collaboration with ORWH and other participating NIH institutes, centers, and offices, the Office of Disease Prevention (ODP) is seeking applications for “Interventions to expand cancer screening and preventive services to ADVANCE health in populations that experience health disparities.” This funding opportunity seeks to address barriers that impede the use or uptake of cancer screening and preventive services in populations that experience health disparities. Projects are encouraged to leverage collaborations with community partners and service providers. The R01 expires on January 8, 2027.
ORWH is committed to supporting this research and to helping underrepresented racial and ethnic populations access and participate in relevant cancer clinical trials.
