This lecture series honors Vice Admiral Vivek H. Murthy, M.D., the 19th and 21st Surgeon General of the United States. Dr. Murthy and Victor J. Dzau, M.D., National Academy of Medicine (NAM)  President,  former Chancellor for Health Affairs at Duke University, internationally renowned cardiologist, and global health expert, will discuss how public health leadership has shaped the COVID-19 pandemic response and efforts to address health disparities. The presenters will focus on potential root causes of health disparities, the mental health impact of the pandemic across diverse populations and geographic locations, lessons learned, and future opportunities.
