In October 2022, ORWH partnered with NIH colleagues to convene the first NIH workshop on gender and health. It was called “Gender and Health: Impacts of Structural Sexism, Gender Norms, Relational Power Dynamics, and Gender Inequities.” An objective of the event was to identify opportunities to advance research and foster collaborations related to health impacts of structural sexism, gender norms, relational power dynamics, and gender inequities. Toward this objective, ORWH and our NIH partners will be hosting two “Meet the NIH Program Officer” sessions in December. The sessions are intended to provide potential applicants an opportunity to discuss their projects with NIH program officers.
