The NIEHS will host a virtual workshop titled, "Environmental Impacts on Women’s Health Disparities and Reproductive Health.” The workshop will examine health outcomes related to women and individuals assigned female at birth, and reproductive environmental health disparities (EHD). 

The workshop goals are to:

• Raise awareness of the impact of structural racism, racial inequities, and the environment on adverse women’s reproductive health outcomes often observed in U.S. health disparity populations.
• Create an opportunity for NIEHS staff to learn more from the community about the current status of EHD and women’s reproductive health and community outreach efforts.
• Identify knowledge gaps in EHD and women’s reproductive health that can be developed into scientific focus areas within the NIEHS.

The workshop sessions will include speaker presentations and interactive panel discussions that feature national and local leaders in environmental health disparities research and women’s reproductive health. A post-workshop networking session will be held from 1:15 – 2:15 p.m. on Thursday to allow workshop participants to follow up with speakers and NIEHS staff and scientists.  

The virtual workshop is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required.
