Event Information

BIRCWH is an institutional mentored career-development program designed to connect junior faculty, known as BIRCWH Scholars, to senior faculty mentors with shared interest in women’s health and sex differences research.

The BIRCWH Annual Meeting is a gathering of senior and junior faculty that provides an opportunity to network and share scientific advances. The meeting will include the 2023 Ruth L. Kirschstein Memorial Lecture by Karen M. Freund, M.D., M.P.H, and the 2023 Legacy of Leadership Lecture by Lindsey A. Criswell, M.D., M.P.H., D.Sc.

Sign language interpreting services are available upon request. The William H. Natcher Conference Center, Building 45, is part of the NIH and is located on the main NIH campus in Bethesda, MD, approximately 5 miles from Washington D.C.

All visitors must enter the NIH campus through the NIH Gateway Center (Building 66, 9000 Rockville Pike, Bethesda MD 20894, located adjacent to the Medical Center Metro Station on the Red Line at the South Drive entrance to campus from Rockville Pike / Wisconsin Avenue (Route 355). Visitors will be required to show one (1) valid form of identification (a government-issued photo ID-driver's license, passport, green card, etc.) and to state the purpose and location of their visit (BIRCWH Annual Meeting, Building 45). The campus shuttle pickup is located directly outside of the Gateway Center exit.
