The NIH Pain Consortium will convene the 17th Annual NIH Pain Consortium Symposium on Advances in Pain Research in early June. The virtual symposium: “Pain Management Through the Lens of Whole Person Health,” will address the treatment of the “whole person” and the interdisciplinary connections, multisystem outcomes, and multicomponent interventions that could help improve pain management. Topics will include considering pain conditions and models through the lens of whole person health, integrating data science into a whole health approach to healthcare, and methods for engaging patients and other stakeholders in the whole-person approach to pain management.
