The Specialized Centers of Research Excellence (SCORE) is a signature program of ORWH and the only NIH cooperative agreement program dedicated to disease-agnostic research on sex differences. Each center functions as a national resource for translational research aimed at understanding the role of biological sex differences in women’s health. These NIH-supported Centers of Excellence are crucial hubs for research on sex differences that also provide pilot funding, training, and education.
