– October 30, 2024, 1:00 PM EDT

Virtual only.

Event Information

The NIH Office of Research on Women’s Health (ORWH) is hosting a virtual webinar to discuss “Small Business Opportunities for Innovative Women’s Health Research.”

As mentioned in President Biden’s Executive Order on Advancing Women’s Health Research and Innovation, private sector innovation is a key aspect of accelerating and improving women’s health research. NIH is committed to further increasing—by 50%—its investments to support innovators and early-stage small businesses engaged in research and development on women’s health.

Staff from the NIH  Small business Education and Entrepreneurial Development (SEED) Office and several NIH small business programs will provide overviews of their programs and institute- and center-specific interests at the intersection of innovation and women’s health. Attendees can submit questions in advance for program staff.
The Small Business Programs, also known as America’s Seed Fund, are comprised of the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. This webinar will focus on small business opportunities for women’s health research, with two overarching goals:

  1. To inform the women’s health research community of small business opportunities
  2. To inform the small business community of women’s health research priorities
