Moreover, maternal mortality rates have continued to increase in the Untied States compared to other developed countries due to pregnancy or childbirth-related causes. The most common causes contributing to pregnancy-related deaths in the US are associated with infection, sepsis, cardiovascular conditions, hypertensive disorders and hemorrhage.
