ME/CFS Investigator Resources

The Office of Research on Women’s Health (ORWH) is responsible for fostering and facilitating research on Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) through the Trans-NIH ME/CFS Research Working Group (WG). A focus of the WG is to increase the quantity and quality of applications for ME/CFS research on the etiology, diagnosis, underlying mechanism, or treatment of ME/CFS.

Investigators are strongly encouraged to consult with the Scientific/Research Contacts for the area of science for which they are planning to develop an application. Early contact provides an opportunity for Institute or Center staff to discuss the proposed scope and goals, and to provide technical assistance, information and guidance on the NIH application process. Other aspects of an application that may involve collaboration with Intramural Investigators or existing research infrastructure resources may also be discussed.
