The Office of Research on Women’s Health (ORWH) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Intramural Program for Research on Women’s Health (IPRWH) are pleased to announce the selection of the first recipients of the NIH Women’s Health Fellowships in Intramural Women’s Health Research. The fellowships are in the second year of their three year term.

HRSA Announces New Women’s Health and Wellness Guides for Rural Young and Adult Women

The HRSA Office of Women’s Health announces the addition of new consumer tools to the Bright Futures for Women’s Health and Wellness (BFWHW) Physical Activity and Healthy Eating domain for Rural Young and Adult Women. The tools include an Adult Women’s Guide designed to encourage adult women living in rural areas to increase levels of physical activity, healthy eating, and communication with their health care providers. Highlights will include oral presentations by Scholars from the Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women’s Health (BIRCWH) program and Principal Investigators from the Specialized Center of Research (SCOR) on Sex and Gender Factors Affecting Women’s Health program. In addition, poster abstracts from both programs will be on display outside Lipsett. This symposium is held in conjunction with the annual SCOR and BIRCWH Principal Investigator meetings and the annual BIRCWH Scholar meeting at the NIH. Registration opened on June 25, 2009.
