Eighth Annual NIH Interdisciplinary Women’s Health Research Symposium

The Eighth Annual NIH Interdisciplinary Women’s Health Research Symposium sponsored by the Office of Research on Women’s Health (ORWH) was held November 17, 2011, Masur Auditorium, NIH Campus, Bethesda, MD. The Research Symposium is presented annually in November and showcases research from two ORWH signature initiatives: the Specialized Centers of Research (SCOR) on Sex and Gender Factors Affecting Women’s Health and the Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women’s Health (BIRCWH) program. Keynote speakers for the 2011 symposia were Michael M. Gottesman, M.D., Deputy Director for Intramural Research, Office of the Director, NIH; and Mahendra S. Rao, M.D., Ph.D., Director, NIH Center for Regenerative Medicine.
