Margery L. S. Gass, M.D., NCMP
Dr. Margery Gass is Clinical Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Cincinnati and Director of the Menopause and Osteoporosis Center. Dr. Gass has been involved in clinical research in osteoporosis, menopause and female sexual function. She is principal investigator for the Women’s Health Initiative. She was a co-investigator for the STAR Trial comparing Tamoxifen and raloxifene for prevention of breast cancer. Dr. Gass was president of the North American Menopause Society 2002-2003 and served on the Board of Trustees for six years. She has been an invited speaker at the Amsterdam biannual menopause meeting, the International Menopause Society triennial meeting in Buenos Aires, and the Japan Menopause Society meeting in Tokyo. Dr. Gass serves on the editorial board of Menopause: The Journal of the North American Menopause Society and Menopause Management. She is a specialty consultant for The Pharmacist’s Letter/The Prescriber’s Letter. Dr. Gass currently serves on the National Advisory Council for the NIH Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine. In January 2010 Dr. Gass will become the next Executive Director of the North American Menopause Society.
